I am asked all the time: What can I do myself to support this treatment? Even if a client doesn’t ask, I always recommend stretches that people can do on their own time.<\/p>\n
The key to prevention of injury is taking the time to prepare. This means preparing with a good warm up – which can include some stretching if necessary – AND most importantly a post-workout stretch. Hold each stretch for at least 30 seconds, and breathe.<\/p>\n
Had a long day at the office? Try some stretching when you get home.<\/p>\n
Need the relaxing effects of massage to last longer than just 1 or 2 days? Try some continued stretches of those problem areas.<\/p>\n
